Film, Television, and Electronic Media Associate in Science Degree for Transfer
The Film, Television and Electronic Media AS-T Degree prepares students for seamless transfer to applicable CSU campuses. Students earning this degree will be granted priority for admission as Radio-Television-Film, Television-Film or Electronic Media majors to a local CSU, as determined by the CSU campus to which the student applies.
This degree is designed to develop a well-rounded beginning level coursework in television/film production, audio production, film/media history and the business of electronic media. While a baccalaureate degree is recommended preparation for those considering careers as producers, directors and in areas of management, completion of this curriculum will demonstrate commitment to the field and provide comprehensive preparation for upper-division work.
This degree requires students to complete 60 CSU transferable units, including completion of CSU GE or IGETC and 18 units in the major with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better. Title 5 requires that students earn a grade of C or better in all major coursework. The Film, Television and Electronic Media AS-T Degree requires a total of 18 units of required courses and restricted electives from the categories below as indicated.
